The queues weren’t too bad given the circumstances they are doing a fantastic job honestly! The one thing that I was a little upset about was that I had not been able to purchase the Shrek ears online and when asked at the entrance and also online I was told that I could purchase 2 pairs once inside but the lady at the till told me that she was not allowed to and was given orders not to sell any by her manager which I found a little unfair. The staff was amazing, I contacted the customer service/sales/experience department to ask if there was some sort of surprise I could book and pay for, for my daughters to add to the package, I was firstly helped by Connor whom directed me to Sarah! She was amazing got back to me so promptly and organised for a birthday sash for us to find on arrival! Of course our little one had no idea so when she saw it she had a massive grin all over her face! We then went off to queue, we were then met by I believe Dan, “please do forgive me if I got your name wrong”, whom gave the girls some birthday badges too and a personalised message from Shrek himself! They were so amazing and super happy it was such a special and lovely experience. It was absolutely amazing! It was not our first time, however this time we decided to go for our eldest 8th birthday. I wont be visiting again and I will not be recommending it at all. When we came out the lift, my children wanted to look at the cases etc but we were moved along by someone with an ear piece. Shrek then came out and we were pulled forward for a photo but given no option to buy more than one photo - again like a conveyor belt. The door was then opened again and we were ushered into a corridor where we were just stood. To pay the same price as we paid 4 years ago and not get the experience that we did then was really disappointing.Īt the end, the last room was a complete shambles and the actress had more or less finished before the group had even got in let alone sat down. It felt like they couldn't get the customers through quick enough and we (customers - paying customers!) were like a conveyor belt and we were to be moved on as quick as possible. The actors would start their lines before all the group got into the room, therefore missing lots of the parts and quite frankly a shambles.
The whole thing was over in less than 1 hour - but yet it is the same price as 4 years ago when the whole thing lasted almost double that!Ĥ years ago, we loved every aspect and loved the way it went through the story - this time around, parts were missing (sleeping beauty, wicked witch to name but two!) and the parts we did have were rushed and you were ushered as quick as possible to the next bit. When we went 4 years ago, the whole family (adults included!) LOVED it! It was the best attraction we had been to and we bigged it up to everyone and encouraged everyone to go.so for a Christmas treat, we travelled to London to do it again. Visited here on Sunday 12th December with my family - having been previously 4 years ago!
