So, stick to what the CD has…(I’m saving you the trouble of downloading all that extra stuff.) and also, make sure the drivers are installed. On the packaging, it said that the software provided was called Ulead VideoStudio Wizard…but no, that wasn’t on there, but they pretty much have the same function. So, as I installed the software from the CD, it came with a recording program called Honestech TVR 2.5. My experience with the setup was quite difficult in the beginning as I encountered some inconsistencies between what the manual said and what was actually on the software in the packaging. Alternatively, you can have a TV involved (so you can watch on a have a better display whilst recording), but you’ll need to buy extra equipment such as three female splitters and two composite cables…I’d recommend ordering from the Monoprice website.
